Lounge Chair by Angel Pazmino
Brutalist, sculptural, and fully hand-built. This 1960s Cotacachi lounge chair by Ecuadorian designer Angel Pazmiño is crafted from solid Brazilian rosewood with thick, hand-tooled leather embossed with traditional motifs. The puzzle-like peg construction skips screws entirely, letting the materials and craftsmanship take center stage. Three of the original pegs are missing, but the structure remains solid. Made for Muebles de Estilo during the height of South America’s modernist movement, this piece is part chair, part sculpture, all presence.
Some light wear on the wood and leather.
