American Folk Tramp Art Wall Pocket
A carved American folk wall pocket with serious presence. Shaped and pierced foliate back, layered construction, and a deep front pocket carved with a pierced GOOD LUCK inscription framing a central horseshoe. Equal parts decorative and symbolic.
The surface retains its likely original finish with a lightly blistered texture you only get with age. The carving shows confident hand work, not factory repetition. Late 19th to early 20th century. Hang it as a wall object or use the pocket for letters, dried florals, or nothing at all. It holds its own.
Honest wear throughout.
